The E.J. Henderson Youth Foundation (HYF)is a non-profit organization utilizing a holistic approach to improve the overall well-being of urban youth. HYF’s “Pass-2-Play” program provides an outreach to youth struggling to find purpose and direction. The organization provides guidance oriented programs that emphasize the importance of having a sound mind and body.
Most people look at the plight of inner-city youth as a “problem”. The E.J. Henderson Youth Foundation views this as an “opportunity” to make a difference. E.J. Henderson has partnered with NFL veteran Darren Sharper and The Sharper Kids Foundation to provide programs and services that address the academic and fitness disparities facing our urban youth. Together, they are providing a holistic approach that enriches the mental, physical and emotional health of youth. The Youth Academy and Youth Fitness Programs offer innovative mentoring, educational and fitness services.
